Hi To Bi – Flexibility Added For Aluminium Choice

Glazerite has added the Cortizo 4900 HI Slide and Cortizo Bi-fold Plus Door to its range to deliver increased flexibility and aluminium choice to its customers.

With ultra-slim sightlines plus a smooth bottom running system and concealed shoot bolt lock, the Cortizo Bi-Fold Plus Door has been developed to build in increased margin at the retail point of sale. It also features a fully adjustable jamb, offering up to 6mm tolerance on both sides of the door, making squaring and setting faster – significantly reducing installation time.

Rob Brearley, the managing director at Glazerite, said: “Aluminium is becoming a real growth area for us. The addition of the two new doors from Cortizo to our existing AluK offer is about consolidating that growth and establishing our position as one of the go to suppliers for aluminium bi-folding and inline sliding doors.”


Sightlines

Brearley added: “It has cracking slim sightlines even in comparison to other aluminium systems and a really smooth running mechanism, which gives it a lot of end-user appeal almost to the point that it sells itself.

“It also simplifies installation, saving time money and call backs, through a really innovative adjustable jamb option. Bi-fold installation is all about getting the door square. The Cortizo Bi-fold Plus Door is a very forgiving and reliable system.”

The Cortizo Bi-Fold Plus Door, is available in multiple panel configurations including open-in or open-out, with a maximum sash height and width of 3000mm x 1200mm, and a maximum sash weight of 120kg.

PAS24 accredited it also achieves exceptional thermal performance with U-values as low as 0.8W/m²K. 

HI Slide

The Cortizo 4900 HI Sliding patio door accommodates individual sash weights of up to 240kg an maximum widths and heights of 2200mm and 3000mm, it delivers strong minimalist sightlines and maximum design flexibility.

“The Cortizo 4900 is a very flexible product which delivers trouble-free installation,” said Brearley.

“The other big advantage is that it still achieves U-values as low as 1.2W/m²K while still being a 70mm system. This primes it for the replacement market with easier installation and less plaster cut back compared to most aluminium systems.”

Range

Glazerite’s new Cortizo range is added alongside its aluminium window offer from AluK and core trade proposition, including the complete VEKA range, plus composite options from Solidor and Doorco.

Brearley continued: “We’ve created a stand-alone manufacturing facility because aluminium needs to be handled differently to PVC-U.

“Installers have a single-source supply of aluminium and PVC-U – all on a single order, a single delivery and invoice. It keeps things simple at a time when the market is tough and everyone is working hard to win and deliver business.”
