Fire Cert Boosts Commercial Glazing Position

One company has reinforced its position in the commercial glazing sector after becoming a certified supplier of fire rated aluminium and glass systems.

LSF Commercial can now provide installers with specialist support for projects where compliance and performance will not be compromised. The firm supplies fire rated windows and doors manufactured from premium Schüco systems and Contraflam fire-resistant glazing from Vetrotech Saint-Gobain.

Fire resistance

The Schüco ADS 80 FR 30 system delivers 30 minutes of fire resistance and has been tested to EN 1364 and EN 1634 standards. Designed for multi-purpose applications, the system combines fire and smoke protection with additional security and performance benefits, including burglar resistance, sound reduction and high mechanical durability.

LSF Commercial also supplies the Schüco ADS 80 FR 60 system, which achieves EI60 fire resistance using specialist fire boards and fire-resistant glazing.

The systems provide a range of classifications including EI30, EI60, EW30 and E30, helping installers meet the latest fire safety requirements outlined in Approved Document B which must be adhered to.

Technical understanding

Pritpal Toot, the technical director at LSF Commercial, said: “Fire rated systems require a high level of technical understanding from specification right through to installation. Our investment to achieve certification demonstrates our commitment to providing installers with compliant products and the technical guidance needed for more challenging projects.

Managing Director Onkar Toot added: “Installers are increasingly being asked to deliver projects with stricter requirements to ensure the safety of occupants and tighter scrutiny around compliance to prevent the internal spread of a fire. Our customers can rely on us for tested products and dependable support from start to finish.”
