Glazpartners Gets Massive Rating’s Boost
In a coup for the Glazpartners initiative, BFRC MD Richard Sellman has led the UK’s most trusted organisation for verifying the energy performance of windows & doors, into membership.
The British Fenestration Rating Council was founded to establish the window energy rating system for the UK. Now it works with all kinds of organisations from big names to small businesses, private and government, both in the UK and internationally. BFRC offers products and services that help raise performance standards and in turn make buildings more energy efficient.
As well as continuing to promote best practice, BFRC supports fabricators and installers striving to do the right thing by engaging with the commercial sector to help them gain information about product performance in their buildings. It’s a tough market with constantly changing legislation that is only set to get stronger and more onerous.
Technical Glazpartner
Sellman said: “At BFRC, collaboration is key to the success of what we do and with that in mind, we’re delighted to become a Technical Glazpartner and support this unique initiative to support its customers.
With ever changing legislation and increasing scrutiny being placed on the construction industry as a whole, it’s important for companies to ensure they have the latest information and access to people who can support them in these challenging times. We’ve been working hard at BFRC to develop our offering to ensure we can provide relevant and necessary testing and certification for the window and door sectors. We are now able to demonstrate this through the Glazpartnership initiative.”
PiGs Talking Shop
Dean Bradley, Glazpart’s sales director added: “BFRC are pioneers of window energy ratings and product standards with an industry wide reputation for delivering first class testing and certification. Just like Glazpart and Glazpartners their aim is to help companies comply with regulations and to promote the best in our industry. We are looking forward to working with the BFRC team starting next month at PiGs Talking Shop in Bristol where Richard Sellman will be one of our Technical Experts.”
