MG Windows Takes To Decorio & Timberlook

Two of Affordable Windows Group’s most popular window and door systems have become hugely popular with installer MG Window Systems and its customers.

The Northampton business, trading since 1992, now fits both Timberlook and Decorio heritage systems. The relationship started when it spotted the flush sash windows in quoting software Tommy Trinder three years ago.

Matt Munns, a director at MG Window Systems, said: "When we first spotted Timberlook on Tommy Trinder, we looked closely at the windows and could see they ticked all the boxes.

"For me, if you're buying a flush fit window, you want it to look like a timber window, not something with an ugly trickle vent slapped on. Timberlook has mechanical joints and attractive concealed trickle vents complete with a hood. It was a no brainer that we wanted to sell these products to our customers."

Reliable supply

Timberlook has become one of the installer's biggest sellers assisted by Affordable Windows Group’s (AWG) speed, reliability and ease of quoting and ordering.

When delivery dates from its aluminium supplier started moving, Munns approached AWG about its Decorio range. He said: "Affordable Windows were always so good at accommodating us with Timberlook and providing free leads that when they launched Decorio, it made sense to see what they could do.

Quick fit

"We really liked the aluminium products, particularly the bi-fold doors. It's the little things that make the difference such as the gasket being built into the beads, which saves us time on site. That's not something every supplier offers.

"Once we started installing Decorio, we knew we'd made the right decision. We had fewer issues with fitting, our lead times went down considerably and we had more confidence our deliveries would arrive on time.

The fact the system is now available on Tommy Trinder is another bonus as we now use just one platform for quoting our most popular products.”

Service and products

Munn also said: "AWG is on another level with how they work with their clients. I've been so impressed with their customer service.

“That’s why, when we were hired a few years ago to complete a couple of big new-build projects, we chose to work with AWG’s Timberlook range. We needed roughly 500 frames for windows and doors that would complement the heritage and contemporary style of the housing development. Not only did we know the products would fit the bill, we also had every faith the project would be completed on time and to a high standard.”

Prioritising installers needs

Amelia Gaughan, Head of Marketing at AWG, said: “Matt originally came to us for flush sash, then trusted us with his aluminium too. That only happens when a manufacturer prioritises the installers needs from order through to delivery by providing free leads, installer friendly quoting and ordering software, marketing support and reliable deliveries week in, week out.

"We take pride in delivering the best customer service. Building strong and lasting relationships with our installer partners allows us to understand and listen to market demands, which is something we feel really sets us apart. We will always go over and above to make sure they can get their jobs done quickly and to a high standard.”
