IotM Winner Has Goth The Lot
Retaining gothic character while delivering great thermal performance and living conditions has earned Jadeite Glazing FENSA’s August Installation of the Month title.
According to FENSA’s independent assessor, August’s winning project is a prime example of how modern windows and doors can maintain the character of a property whilst vastly enhancing its thermal performance and living conditions. He said: “This takes a balance that requires a toolkit of genuine technical skills and careful design judgement to achieve.
“Particular attention was paid to replicating the gothic styling of the outgoing windows, executed to a standard that preserves the distinctive character of the property without compromise.”
Homeowner opinion
The homeowners noted a significant improvement in living comfort during the summer months, with high-performance glass helping to prevent overheating, which is a benefit that demonstrates just how much the right product choice can transform everyday life at home.
“This project is a reminder that not every replacement window installation needs to transform the look of a building,” said Sam Davies, Technical Manager at FENSA. “Sometimes the greatest skill lies in making sure nobody notices the change while the homeowner feels it every single day. Jadeite Glazing have done exactly that.”
