Eye Predicts A Riot As Call For Coppers Comes In

Installation Eye is predicting a riot of demand from homeowners trying to get hold of a new Deep Copper, spray-painted, steel-look composite door.

The new door and frame combo comes from Force8. As with many top-of-the-range doors, insulation and security come as standard.

For installers and fabricators

Force8 believes producing a steel-look composite door with allow installers and fabricators to offer something beyond the woodgrain composite and demand a higher price for a door that will find huge appeal in a market where kerb appeal is important to buyers. It will look good on both modern and traditional homes.

Paint facility

Force8 has its own dedicated in-house paint facility, where both the door and frame are prepared and sprayed together. This ensures a colour match across the doorset. A spokesperson in the facility said: “You simply can’t get this level of finish if you buy in separately sourced components.”

Achieving the perfect bond between the specialist paint coating and the composite door surface presented a significant technical challenge. After months of refinement the company has produced a finish of great durability – and with good looks.

The development of the Deep Copper finish has been the result of extensive research and testing by Force8. There is an expectation that the firm will now push on to find more metallic finishes.

Margins

For installers, it provides a genuine point of difference in an increasingly competitive market. As homeowners continue to seek more individual and design-led entrance solutions, the Deep Copper finish enables installers to offer something rarely seen in the marketplace, helping them stand apart from competitors.
