A soft green with grey undertones that brings nature-inspired warmth and character to exterior finishes has been named as the 2027 Colour of the Year. What’s it called?

Soulful Sage is the answer and it is Interpon’s favourite for 2027.

It reflects the growing influence of softer, nature-inspired colour palettes and natural materials in contemporary architecture.

It is available in the Interpon D2525 range of durable powder coatings and forms the centrepiece of a nine-colour palette combining contemporary looks with long-term durability and sustainability credentials.

Soulful Sage is part of a carefully curated palette of nine complementary creams, greys and blues. Together, they open-up new possibilities for creating quiet harmony or bold architectural contrast.

Endurance

Developed by AkzoNobel's Global Aesthetics Center, the 2027 Colour of the Year draws on more than 30 years of colour research, global trend analysis and collaboration with colour experts, architects and designers. The result is a forward-looking palette that helps architects and specifiers make confident decisions for projects designed to endure.

Warranties

All colours in the 2027 palette are available with warranties of up to 25 years when applied by an Interpon D Approved Applicator. The Interpon D range is supported by an independently verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and meets Qualicoat Class 2 and GSB Master certifications, as well as the performance requirements of AAMA 2604, giving fabricators and specifiers confidence in both sustainability credentials and long-term performance.
